The World Health Education has appointed Her Excellency, the immediate Past President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as one of its Goodwill Ambassador. She will play the role of Goodwill Ambassador for Health Workforce.

The announcement was made today by the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in his speech to open the 72 World Health Assembly in Geneva. He says “each of our new ambassadors are champions in their own right, from helping their communities rebuild and develop sustainability, to fighting for better mental health and well-being, to being role models fo rhealthier living.”
